Sungrow is excited to announce a major collaboration with AGL Energy to power the Kerarbury Almond Farm in New South Wales (NSW) with a 5.99MW solar and storage solution. This innovative agrivoltaic project integrates Sungrow’s advanced PowerTitan BESS, showcasing the growing synergy between solar energy and agricultural practices.
The project is designed to generate 14,000 MWh of clean energy annually, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the farm by slashing 7,500 metric tons of CO₂ emissions. This achievement also aligns with Australia’s ambitious clean energy goals, contributing to an impressive 83% renewable energy penetration on the farm.
The integration of solar power into agricultural operations like Kerarbury Almond Farm offers multiple benefits: reduced energy costs, enhanced resilience against climate change, and a strong contribution to the country’s clean energy transition. By leveraging Sungrow’s technology, this project demonstrates how solar innovation can drive sustainable agriculture while also reducing dependency on conventional energy sources.
This collaboration between Sungrow and AGL Energy highlights the transformative potential of agrivoltaics, enabling the dual use of land for both energy generation and farming. As the project progresses, it sets a precedent for future sustainable energy solutions that harmonize with agricultural practices to benefit both the environment and local economies.
Together, Sungrow and AGL Energy are leading the way in advancing solar innovation, fostering a sustainable energy future, and supporting the broader transition towards clean, renewable power.
